"I guess I have been shooting for almost 4 years now but it was nowhere near consistent. I am only 20 so I am still a very young photographer. I guess a lot of the things that changed within my photography is how much a I started travelling and how all the different areas influenced me more. 4 years ago I was still in High School and felt stuck in my hometown and could not get my full vision into the world. I have trouble creating concepts in my mind and have been working hard to get better at it. I am the type of photographer that goes out and shoots and later sees the images that I have put in front of me. Usually my creative process consists of a group of friends and I getting together and shooting."
"The most enjoyable part of being a photographer, for me, is to always be on the go and seeing everything around you in a different ways and constantly think how you can frame it. I really enjoy the travelling behind my career though. I love being able to hop on a bus and be in New York City in 4 hours or getting into my car and being in Boston in an hour. I am absolutely love meeting new people in the same field as me and sharing our different creative ideas and being able to shoot with those people."
"You have to be completely committed to the images and prints you are creating. You have to back up your work consistently and be extremely confident with your pieces. Travelling as I said before I feel is a necessity. While you can still shoot beautiful images in your home there is only so much there. There is something about jumping in the world and shooting life as it happens."
"Yet again, you have to have fun. I guess that is kind of cliché for me to say but I create my best work when I am in the best mood and having fun with my life. "
Shoot a lot, travel a lot, live a lot.
"My dream project would for sure be to travel and shoot. I want to see so many things. I would love to see and shoot the North American continent before moving on to other parts of the world. I would love to travel the US and Canada in some kind of livable van or motorhome. A project that I started and I have not really named yet, I guess. I started a couple months back on a really foggy day when I went shooting with a friend of mine in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The images are so ghostly and dream like."
"As long as you are hard working, truthful about yourself and others, and completely honest you will go far. With those key ingredients within your life you can create a name that is humble and honorable."
